The End of Policing?

Author Alex Vitale joins Jeremy Cliffe and Emily Tamkin on the World Review podcast.

In light of the death of George Floyd, and the rise of the Black Lives Matter movement, the notion of defunding the police has accompanied discussions of police brutality.

With the trial of Derek Chauvin underway, conversations around the future of policing, and the state of the justice system on both sides of the atlantic continue.

On this episode of the World Review podcast, Jeremy Cliffe and Emily Tamkin are joined by Alex Vitale, author of The End of Policing, to discuss the transatlantic movement to defund the police, and the way in which the world can move towards a fairer justice system.

They also discuss the death of Prince Philip, developments in Ukraine and the trial of Derek Chauvin.
