Robin Thicke, last year’s number one peddler of mass-market misogyny with a bouncy bassline, has brought out a new album. It’s called Paula, after his wife Paula Patton, who has left him due to rumours of his infidelity.
The Blurred Lines singer’s new album, released this week, has reportedly only sold 530 albums in the UK. It’s at number 200 in the UK charts. Heat points out that, in comparison, Bob Marley’s album Legend is at number 54, and has been in the charts for 842 weeks. And he’s not even alive.
It’s an embarrassing situation for the singer, but this mole is cringing more at the 530 people who exchanged actual money for the album. Maybe they’re all called Paula.
