Smoking remains one of England’s, and the UK’s, biggest public health issues. Legislation is already helping England on its journey to going smoke-free, but what more can be done to accelerate delivery of the 2030 goal?
On 24 September, the New Statesman virtually convened its annual conference during Labour week, with a series of panel events, interviews and guest speeches from some of the Labour party’s most senior members, as well as business leaders and experts. An online panel discussion and live Q&A, sponsored by PMI, explored these key issues. The panel, chaired by NSMG technology editor Edward Qualtrough, brought together Alex Norris MP, director of WeVape Mark Oates and PMI’s Dr Moira Gilchrist to discuss tobacco harm reduction across the UK.
