Job opportunity at the New Statesman: Events Producer

The New Statesman's special projects team is looking for an experienced and creative person to design and deliver a programme of events.

By Spotlight

The New Statesman is looking for an experienced events producer to design and deliver a programme of clever, interesting and commercially successful events. This is a creative role that demands solid experience in events and/or public affairs, an inquiring mind, an excellent knowledge of politics and business, and very strong research, writing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities will include designing and delivering a programme of public-facing events, developing media partnerships, running event PR and producing marketing content, liaising with clients, and developing political contacts. You will also be writing invitations and briefing documents.

The ideal candidate will have at least three to five years of experience in a public affairs or events role, or in a position with relatable skills. We are looking for someone with great attention to detail, who is calm under pressure. Excellent written, organisational and interpersonal skills, lots of good ideas for future events, and a very strong knowledge of UK politics and global current affairs are essential. A track record of securing big names for events would be a plus.

If you would like to apply, please send a CV, cover letter and 200-word pitch for a commercially viable New Statesman event to Alona.Ferber@newstatesman.co.uk by 13 March.

We may fill the role before the deadline for submissions.
