Dominic Cummings has serious ideas – but I’m not sure he’s serious about them

There are parts of Cummings's agenda that are worthy, and parts that are ridiculous. The latter could destroy the former.

Dominic Cummings’s latest blog post is an unorthodox job advert for new posts in Downing Street that provides us with a direct insight into his approach to one of the new government’s Big Ideas: reform the machinery and personnel of government.

There is a lot in it: some of it is very worthwhile and some of it made my eyes roll so far to the back of the head that I got a good look at my cerebral cortex. My fear is that the bits that provoked the eye-rolling will ultimately kill off the parts that are worthwhile.
