Is this the launch of Sarah Palin’s presidential campaign?

Palin posts video on her Facebook page hailing the rise of “Mama Grizzlies”.

Is this the beginning of the Palin for President 2012 campaign? The Republican ex-vice presidential candidate posted this video on her Facebook page yesterday, claiming that it is in support of “commonsense [sic] conservative candidates who will work with you and for you to take back our country”.

Aimed at women who are dissatisfied with the current administration, it features an extended metaphor about grizzly bears (I guess the hockey mom thing was getting old).

But could it be more than just a rallying cry? The montage of Palin addressing rallies, set to a backdrop of stirring music with an emotionally laden voice-over, certainly suggests so.

Fox News (well-known purveyor of truth, and a big fan of Palin’s) suggests that it “smacks of a very early presidential campaign ad spot”.
