After signs that Ed Miliband is emerging in slow motion as the front-runner in Labour’s leadership contest, there are one or two digs at him around today, including from Alastair Campbell and including a revival of the idea occasionally put about by him that he has difficulty in making decisions.
On the latter question, a Labour figure who supports Ed Miliband and who I just spoke to points out that he proved his critics wrong by making “the biggest decision of his life” — by standing against his elder brother and the bookies’ favourite, David Miliband.
