The BBC has announced that Jeremy Clarkson, the host of its internationally-popular long-running automotive show Top Gear, has been suspended “following a fracas with a producer“.
No other details about this fracas – noun; “a noisy argument or fight” – have been released, but this Sunday’s episode of the show will not be screened, and Clarkson will not take part in filming, “pending an investigation”.
Clarkson, a right-wing blowhard with a habit of using racially charged words on television, appears to have finally found the BBC’s limit for tolerating his controversies.
No word from the BBC, though, on how to pronounce “fracas”.
