No terrorist attacks under Bush?

So says Rudy Giuliani on Good Morning America

By Sophie Elmhirst

Skip to about 50 seconds in on this video and you’ll see Rudy Giuliani on Good Morning America this morning. And what a morning it was, as Giuliani happily rewrote history.

Said Giuliani:

We had no domestic attacks under Bush. We’ve had one under Obama.

Hang on a second. He seems to have forgotten the shoe bomber. And the anthrax attacks. Oh . . . AND SEPTEMBER 11th! Which happened in New York! While he was mayor!

But aside from those, Giuliani is bang on the money as usual.

Rudy, if you’re reading, here’s Bush giving a speech, as president, on 11 September 2001, about the terrorist attacks that had just happened that day — a set of circumstances that seems to call into question your view of history. But I’m impressed by the audacity. Who needs facts when you’ve got the ability to reorder events in time retrospectively? It’s like a historical superpower! But not in a good way.
