The video that made Ken cry

Mayoral candidate moved to tears by his election broadcast.

By George Eaton

Here’s the video that moved Ken Livingstone to tears at his manifesto launch earlier today: his own election broadcast.

It’s certainly more moving than most broadcasts and you can watch the film for yourself below. Here’s what Ken had to say:

“It’s an appalling responsibility. The people you saw on the screen represent hundreds of thousands of Londoners who desperately want a mayor who is going to make their life easier in this city.

“It’s a huge responsibility to make people’s lives better over the next four years and that’s why I want to win.”
