Watch: “Rudeboy” John Humphrys attempts urban slang on Radio 4

It has become an almost daily early-morning inevitability that radio grouch-cum-cantankerous dinosaur interrogator John Humphrys will wake us all up barking his way through a Today programme segment about Young People. If it’s not spluttering about the abomination that is “pre-loading”, or tripping over the names of Mercury Prize nominees, then it’s navigating the foreign concept of playing computer games.

This morning was no exception, as Humphrys and his co-presenter Justin Webb attempted street talk in a cringeworthy interview on urban slang, following David Cameron’s revelation that Barack Obama sometimes calls him “bro”.
