Jeremy Corbyn vs Owen Smith: How to watch the Labour leadership debates

Some of the debates are yet to be announced.

By Julia Rampen

If you’re not already a Corbynista or a confirmed Smithite, and you want to shape the future of the Labour party, you could find the Labour leadership debates pretty handy.

Labour has promised to hold nine official debates around the country – all available to watch live on the party’s website

But there’s one problem. So far, only six of the nine Labour leadership debates have been confirmed.

According to LabourList, a dispute has broken out between the rival campaigns about availability for a debate – which never happened – on 1 August.

Smith, a relative unknown, has the most to gain from televised debates. Corbyn, on the other hand, is already packing out halls around the country.
