“Priti Patel, surely a contradiction in her name”: union leader Tim Roache in sexism row

The head of the GMB union is under fire for his remark about the employment minister.

By Media Mole

A blow for the Remain campaign as one of their number makes a sexist comment about Priti Patel, the employment minister and prominent Tory Outer. GMB union leader Tim Roache just said this about her name:

Roache – whose own name isn’t beyond offensive remarks – insists that he wasn’t commenting on Patel’s appearance:

Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, Vote Leave board member and spokesperson of Women for Britain says: “This abuse is a new low for the remain campaign, and is exactly the kind of negativity that voters up and down the country are rejecting. I trust there will be widespread condemnation of these comments.”

Your mole is awaiting Patel’s response. It hopes it includes the word “cock”.
