Shanghai Disneyland reopens

By Rohan Banerjee

The Disneyland theme park in Shanghai has resumed operations after a three-month hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic, but has done so at limited capacity and with strict health protocols in place.

The park is carrying out temperature screenings for all visitors and staff, while distributing protective face masks on people’s arrivals. Daily visitor numbers are, for the time being, limited to 24,000 – around 30 per cent of the site’s usual capacity, at the request of the Chinese government.
