About five years.

What made you start?

I picked up a free copy at the Cambridge Literary Festival.

Is the NS bug in the family?

Sadly, no.

What pages do you flick to first?

I start at the beginning and work through.

How do you read yours?

A few articles every morning over breakfast, but only after my wife has cracked the crossword.

What would you like to see more of in the NS?

International coverage.

Who are your favourite NS writers?

Jeremy Cliffe, Emily Tamkin and Philip Collins.

Who would you put on the cover of the NS?

Jess Phillips.

With which political figure would you least like to be stuck in a lift?

Nigel Farage.
