The slogan on Osborne’s plane? “We’re all pulling together”

Chancellor's G20 plane revives austerity slogan.

By George Eaton

Even before the publication of Rebekah Brooks’s cringeworthy text to David Cameron (“professionally we are in this together”), Cameron and George Osborne had dropped the slogan “we’re all in this together”. Their decision to cut taxes for the richest one per cent meant that it might appear, well, a little insincere.

So imagine the Chancellor’s surprise when he stepped on a plane to the G20 summit with the slogan “we’re all pulling together”.
