Is this the best political interview ever?

Australian MP Bill Shorten says he agrees with the prime minister - even though he doesn't know what

By Samira Shackle

This might look like a scene from a comedy show, but it’s actually a bona fide political interview on Sky News Australia.

Minister Bill Shorten, is asked for his view on whether the speaker, Peter Slipper, should return to his seat while he faces accusations of civil harrassment. Shorten says that the prime minister, Julia Gillard, has given a statement on it, with the classic line: “I haven’t seen what she said but let me say I support what it is that she said.”
