Matt Hancock, MP for West Suffolk and minister for further education, skills and lifelong learning, has entered into the spirit of National Poetry Day by retweeting an offensive poem.
Here’s the tweet in question:

However, minutes later he unretweeted it, claiming it was an accident:

To give credit to him – it’s nice to see someone own up to a mistake on the internet, instead of claiming they were “hacked”.
