In a not so ace move, Arron Banks has been taken down by Martina Navratilova on Twitter.
After Navratilova tweeted “this is getting interesting” in response to reports about alleged connections between Brexi-backer Bank and various Russians, he delivered the electrifying comeback “unlike your tennis style”. Truly, his wit knows no bounds.
It was a powerful response, capturing the acute energy of a slighted twelve-year-old boy during a class debate.
Navratilova hit back with the ultimate power move – a sarcastic smiley face. Not even an emoji! Banks clearly felt its impact, suggesting that they catch up over Pimms. Or as he spells it, “Pyms”. One would think Brexit’s biggest campaign donor would know the name of England’s national drink.
It was soon game, set and match for Navratilova as she delivered a final blow, informing him that
I have no idea who you are and to get me to actually meet with you after insulting me- no , I don’t think so. And it’s Pimm’s BTW ,not Pyms….enjoy the tennis, hope it won’t be boring;)

It’s unclear whether the winky face at the end of her tweet offered him any consolation.
