WATCH: Donald Trump struggles with the lyrics to “God Bless America”

“Mmm la la lamericaa..”

By Media Mole

It’s always AMERICA FIRST for satsuma xenophobe and US President Donald Trump. Except, apparently, when it comes to singing about it.

During a “Celebration of America” event at the White House, Trump appeared to struggle with the lyrics of songwriter Irving Berlin’s patriotic song written for World War One, “God Bless America”.

In an incredibly awkward clip, the President just about manages the first line (“God Bless America”, no less) but then descends into delayed mouthing and then completely stopping singing to bob and sway instead – punctuated with a few words from the song when he can muster them.

Who would’ve thought Trump would make it up as he went along off the back of misplaced patriotism and pride?
