For some reason, the Prime Minister is doing a day-long tour of all the UK’s nations today – perhaps she isn’t getting a chance to go on an electorally-devastating walking holiday this Easter break – and she began in Scotland.
Sky News was on the scene, explaining how her trip is to mark one year to go until Brexit. But a spectacular cameo from a curious Scottish passerby stole the show.
“Is this for Theresa May coming down?” asked the nation’s hero, eyes scrunched up against the sun, as he wandered into the live shot beside presenter Faisal Islam.
We are all that random Scot, aren’t we? Just trying to go for a nice walk along the beach, feeling our faces glow in the crisp morning sunshine. But just when you’re trying to relax, confusion about what the hell the Prime Minister is doing hits you – and, no matter how hard you try, you can never avoid rolling coverage of Brexit.
