Another stupid question....what was wrong with my question Ben? So its true, the West (NWO) picks and choses its war criminals. Mind you, its a bit difficult when he`s a MI6/CIA/Mossadpuppet!! LOL

I was in my teens and twenties in the 90s and things felt a bit more possible. The last few years have felt totally stultifying and everything feels a bit more totalitarian.

I feel more insecure and full of anxieties in every sense. There are more squabblings prevailing in this world today then tolerance and common sense.

Admin, if you say so.

But then in the 1990s I was only in my late eighties.

This is a very vague question and can vary considerably depending on the mood of the responder. People generally bitch about the present because they prefer being younger, but the scientific/social progress is generally a positive thing.

Definitely not! Because of Thatcher/Major, was out of work for two years; nearly lost the house and the debts incurred, took five years to pay off.

I'm ten years older. I was a student in the 1990s. I have more money. What a stupid question. Who thinks of these questions? Is there no editorial input whatsoever?

... and no. I feel a decade closer to Armageddon but unsure whether I feel better or worse for that feeling.

'worse off' doesn't just mean finances - I feel much happier this decade because of personal changes, and contentment is something to be treasured.

Not that much has changed ... Different bunch of Clowns saying the same things they said back then ... Decent Values still shot to hell ... But whatever comes up gets handled and always to my satisfaction ... I am still very Blessed, and after nine trips to Viet Nam, I can withstand just about anything .......

I'm 10-15 years older now. My wages are no higher, my pension prospects are destroyed and I am first in the firing line to have the recession visited personally on me when I don't have long enough to recover.

No.

I had to work much longer hours for the same pay in the 1990s.

PS Did you know it's possible to vote more than once in this poll? I would say that pretty much discredits it.

How about rephrasing this: Are you older (and more conservative and grouchy) than you were in the 1990s)?

Of course not. I was wealthy then and after New Labour I am wealthier still. If Davis Cameron is elected, or Milliband replaces Brown, this shameful situtaion will continue. Only the poor are suffering. I thought that was obvious.

my happy childhood has been replaced by the boring and meaningless study . people are richer in china indeed, howerer, people are aimless and indifferent with each other.
Things maybe change soon, though it takes time.if not the history is still being forgotten by the sudden tall building and sudden changed lifestyles.

I am now much happier than I was in the 1990s, for financial and personal reasons. i was in my 20s then and now I've turned 40. I worked full time, then thanks to an inheritance I was able to give up full time work, although that actually began before. Now I pursue creative and small business projects which give me immense satisfaction. Full time work = wage slavery. I just lost a couple of grand out of 12 I had left in savings thanks to the market crash and I cant sell my flat. But them's the breaks - I bought my house in 97 so it was cheap. I feel sorry for people who bought in last few years.
