The new Downton Abbey trailer has been released, and it’s got something for everyone. Branson, the Earl and Thomas are all crying, Ethel Parks is wearing lipstick in a doorway, (which is, I suspect, code for “she became a prostitute”), a rent bridal veil falls from a stair case (has Julian Fellows, previously accused of nicking material from Little Women and Mrs Minniver, gone full Jane Eyre?), and Edith and Sir Anthony Strallan are an item.
